Intercultural training is a quite a new discipline; therefore there are different approaches that rely on the studies as well as cultural and social background of the trainer and his or her years of living and gaining experience in Mexico. Each approach is both unique and valuable.
Expertmex is the only intercultural training company that was designed exclusively for Mexico. Our perspective is anthropological, so we use what we call Applied Anthropology, which is a sub-discipline of anthropology and describes the use of academic theories and methods to find practical solutions for societal investigation. However, we also apply experience obtained in fieldwork, travelling and ethnographic experience. This means personally interacting with natives of Mexico. All this experience and awareness is what we are able to share with you to understand the country.
A new field of anthropology called Anthropology of Travel and Tourism studies the mechanics of cross cultural interaction between groups traveling or staying for long periods of time in a new country or region. It also highlights local attitudes regarding environmental, social and cultural issues.
Understanding Mexico can be challenging: each region within the country and group within a region has diverse perspectives and ways of conceiving time and space. This is particularly true of Mexico, since there are diverse regions and each has a unique cultural and historical background.
Without adequate historical background we could only memorize the Mexican codes but never really understand where they came from and how they have evolved throughout the centuries, making Mexicans culturally unique.
Through our intercultural training we can open your eyes to a multidimensional land, from the past to the present day—a 360° perspective of Mexico with all its well preserved ancient traditions, modern life, culture, social codes, colors, virtues and defects. Understanding daily life and business in Mexico has never been easier.
