Mexico with same U.S. homicide rate of 4.8 per 100 thousand in the U.S. (Source: UNODC Homicide Statistics, 2012) has gained a reputation of a chaotic and dangerous country across the world thanks to the media, as if every region in Mexico had turn into a gigantic “no go area” or war zone. There is also this daily life and regions where there is no narco-culture, crossfires or weapons displayed on the streets. For quite a while there has not been any good or positive news about Mexico abroad. For many of Mexicans living abroad is quite frustrating that every time the theme “Mexico” comes out, it does along with words such as “violence”, “corruption”, “caos” and “deaths”, as if the entire country would be like this. As a Mexican It is totally fine to discuss these subjects but only if people are truly interested and well informed.
“True Mexico” is a fresh project made out from a series of videos made by Paul an English guy and Mexico City enthusiast.
